6 Places To Find The Perfect Hair Scarf
I am no stranger at all the the hair scarf trend that has been roaming around for a little bit. I have been a fan for quite some time because it quite honestly takes me back to my middle school days when I was younger and didn't know better and was putting bows and random hair decorations in. But can you really blame me? They are so versatile and can easily make an outfit look 10x better. Don't believe me? Need a pop of color Hair scarf! Having a bad hair day? Hair scarf! We all have bad hair days every once in a while and a hair scarf is the catch all for lazy hair days.
Not only are silk bandana's and hair scarves timeless pieces but it really changes the feel of your hair game, all while covering up greasy hair or getting it out of your face like I am usually doing. I swear to you that at a simple addition of a hair scarf can make any bad hair day that you are having to a super chic and put together look! Best part is, they are super easy to travel with and pack down to almost nothing and they are great way to mix and match your wardrobe. Whether you tie it on your bag, around your hair, or your neck, a bandana or skinny scarf is a game-changer in life!
6 Places To Find Your Perfect Hair Scarf
1. 12th Tribe: Such an amazing place to find a silky delight. 12th Tribe has a plethora of different patterns and colors but what I like about 12th Tribe's selection is that they are in these beautiful Venetian patterns. They also have a ton of paisley and striped patterns but each is very unique and that s what I absolutely love about 12th Tribe's collection of scarves!
2. Free People: Ahhh my favorite store of all! Free People is my #1 place to go looking for hair scarves, bandanas, and scrunchies. Though they don't do the typical shapes of what we are used to, every now and then it is okay to opt for the dumpy-proof option. Since the fabric is pre-wrapped around the hair tie, you can use the scrunchie to your advantage and forgo any bad thoughts about having too much fabric to properly wrap around. Simply loop, circle around your hair, and pull through!
3. H&M: Looking for the best place to get hair scarves for a really cheap price, well H&M is your place. Considering what you are paying (the classic 2-pack special!), these are definitely a bang for your buck. Their hair styles run from bandanas to scrunchies to skinny scarves! There are TONS to be had and you obviously can't beat the price!
4. Madewell: The quality and selection that Madewell has is ON POINT! Seriously, hats off to Madewell for being able to sustain such a classic hair style all of these years. Considering silk scarves are always popping in and out of fashion trends on way or another, Madewell has maintained scarves as part of their brand for as long as I can remember. They make their scarves so they work both in your hair and on your bags. One thing I will say is that Madewell's dimensions are typically going to be based on a standard handkerchief size.
5. Anthropologie: Compared to the typical handkerchief/bandana sizes, Anthropologie REALLY outdoes themselves with their rectangular shaped scarves. Because of they are rectangular shaped, the width is short and the length is longer and this means that it tapers at both ends. The uses for these types of scarves are endless! It is great for a longer hair tie, bag bow, or even laying it around your neck for a preppier look.
6. Etsy: My favorite place to find true vintage hankies! Etsy gives you the ability to discover pieces that are off the beaten path, if that makes sense. They have patterns and prints that are no longer in production, even off-sizes, and really just specialty gems you don't see everyday. Etsy has a TON of sellers/shops to choose from, each are unique to the owner, and there is something so special about that!
I will tell y'all that when you travel always keep your eyes open for scarves at vintage shops and markets when you are traveling. You can find the most unique scarves and hair accessories in places like that. They’re usually pretty affordable, easy to pack, and a great take-home item to remember a trip.
As always thank y'all for stopping by and reading! I will see y'all back here next time!
Love, D
