My Last First Day Of College
Wow. Today is finally the day! I truly can't believe this day is finally here. My last first day of college at NC State. Starting today all the way till December 19, which is Commencement, there are 120 days and those 120 days are going to fly by. This fall semester is always the semester that goes by the quickest. For those of you who don't know, I have 10 credit hours left because I was a transfer kid and had some things that didn't carry over and just couldn't do them all at one time so I have to take an extra semester.
Starting my journey at East Carolina was amazing and I learned a lot, but I am truly grateful and blessed that I will be graduating in red as a Wolfpack. I have learned more than I ever could at State and have gained friendships that are going to last me a long time and I can tell that is true. I have also gained so much knowledge from my professors and the work experience they have given me is truly unbelievable.
As soon as I got into ECU and not NC State the first go around, I knew that I was going to transfer at some point to NC State because it was always the place that felt most like home to me. Now don't get me wrong I loved ECU and the close friends I made are still some of my best friends. I don't regret a single minute there because I made some amazing memories. But home is home and you know where your heart lies and it was here in Raleigh as a Wolfpack.
I am seriously looking forward to this semester because I have so many things on the schedule already that are making me really excited! We have college football about to start back again (thank god!), NC State Fair coming to town, Fall Break trip, Carolina Hurricanes games, fun dinners with friends to catch up, other random trips that I have been planning, and A LOT more! All of this including Labor Day weekend, Fall Break, and Thanksgiving Break, make a semester fly by in a blink of an eye.
It's funny because I am always the person who is nervous for their first day of classes but today is something different. I have nervousness mixed with excitement and that has never happened for me. I have never been excited for the first day because I have always been the quiet girl in class but now I think I have found my groove and know that I will be in classes with some of my best friends. Any other college kids out there who are nervous for their first day of classes?
For all you college kids out there, I hope all of you have an amazing first day whether you are a brand new freshman or a seasoned senior who is almost done. Enjoy every minute because we are back on the clock and we have a lot of fun coming up! I am going to share some things on Southern Style about graduation and random things about Senior Year happenings so stay tuned for that. Alright ladies and gents, lets start the clock, 120 days until graduation start right now!
As always thank y'all for stopping by and reading! I will see y'all back here next time!
Love, D
