2018 N.C. State Fair
Hey y'all! How was everyone's weekend? I just have to say that this weekend was a much needed weekend and one of the best weekends that I have had in a long time. Friday I went on a N.C. State Fair date with my sister Hailey and her best friend Taylor, who you have probably see on her several times. Saturday my dad, Hailey, and I went to a Carolina Hurricanes Game where they played the Colorado Avalanche and every time I go to the PNC Arena and watch a hockey game I feel like I am at home. And then to end the weekend I was blessed enough to be given a going away party at work. I didn't really care about having a huge party, for me it was just about saying goodbye to the people that had become like a second family to me.
It is that time of year again when the N.C. State Fair is in town and you know what that means-- fried food, fair rides, flannel shirts, farm animals, and lots of redneckery. Yes I did say redneckery! But I love going to the fair because it really is an experience and a ton of fun to just go with a group of friends and eat some bad food and ride rides that look like they are about to break at any second. I'm just kidding about that part. I went to the fair this year twice with two different groups of people and thought it would a fun idea to vlog it so you can see all the fun and fried food and all the beautiful lights!
I always love going multiple times to the N.C. State Fair because I usually go with different people each time and each time is such a different experience, whether it is how many people are there, the food we get, the rides we ride and even the weather. I will have to say that I do not generally ride any of the rides, not because they are old and have a tendency to break, but because I have a fear of heights so being up really high and being upside down does not really interest me as much as you think it would. This year I did do the lower swings but even doing that made me so scared. Every year I try to do one ride that involves height so I can in a way conquer my fear of heights.
