Friday's Five
Hey y'all! HAPPY FRIDAY! Another week down, another weekend to enjoy. I am so glad that it is finally the weekend because the NC State Fair is finally here and I am going with a bunch of my friends and it just makes me that much more excited about Fall. I am sorry again for not posting this week but this week was an emotional rollercoaster ride that would just not let me get off. But I wanted to give some other general updates on my life recently because I feel like there has been so much going on.
~Dying over this Brown and White sweater from Vestique that is super comfy and this amazing Free People cardigan in this wine color. Perfect for Fall~
~I knew I had to get this purse as soon as I saw it on Topshop because I had been looking for this HoBo styled bag and it has so much space~
~Truly dying over these Black Western Booties from Target and they are so super comfortable and I can already tell I will be wearing them a ton this season~
~I am a huge fan of the the Douchebag brand and as soon as I saw their new collaboration with Jay Alvarrez I knew I had to get this backpack and let me tell you it fits everything~
I didn't really post any of this on social media, but last weekend for my Fall Break I headed up to Lake Lure, NC with my dad and sister to visit some family and it was hotter up in the mountains than it was back home in Raleigh! We didn't really do anything special but we ate a ton of food and just relaxed which is just what I wanted.
I have recently just put in my two weeks notice at the YMCA where I have worked and called it my second home for the last five and half years. This was a really hard decision for me but there has been so much that has happened there that I felt like it was my time to move on and start something new. Once everything becomes official I will share that with y'all but for now I am taking the opportunity to get my school work done and really put a lot of time and effort into Southern Style! I am sad about leaving the YMCA after so long because I made so many friends and memories that it is really hard to say good-bye.
I love this time of year because there are all of these holidays back to back to back that makes it chaotic but also so much fun. You get to spend time with your family (even if it is a little too much sometimes), watch the leaves change colors, lots and lots of pumpkins, college football is back on along with hockey and of course MLB playoffs. I am so thrilled because my Wolfpack are now finally ranked at #20 which in my eyes is way overdue!
I have a ton of plans for upcoming content to be posted like my 2 year anniversary post as well as a NC State Fair vlog and a post all about the food at the fair. There will also be some holiday themed posts to come for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course my favorite holiday of all, Christmas! So definitely stay tuned for everything that is to come and I will try to make sure it is as accessible as possible to y'all!
I hope y'all have a fantastic weekend and live life like no other!
Love, D
