Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
Happy Wednesday everybody! We are officially half way through the week and only 5 days away from Christmas Eve! How exciting is that! I am ready for the holidays to be here and for the craziness to pick up. I have tried in anyway that I can to get mentally prepared for it. But that is beside the point and I am here to share with all of you one of my most favorite things to make and so delicious! It is banana chocolate chip bread! Whenever we have bananas getting bad I love to make this because I hate to see it go to waste. But the special thing about this bread is what I add to it which of course are the chocolate chips and it makes the bread even more delicious and tasty!
Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 1 hr. 10 mins. Ready In: 1 hr. 25 mins. Serves: 10
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk chocolate chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir bananas, milk, and cinnamon in another bowl. Beat butter and sugar in a third bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs to butter mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir banana mixture and butter mixture together. Stir in dry mixture until blended. Fold in chocolate chips until just combined. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
3. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 70 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
Doesn't that just look so yummy! I hope all of you go and try this recipe out because it does not disappoint! Enjoy the rest of your week and as always thank you for reading!
Love, D
