Happy Mother's Day!

Dear Mom,

There is no place I would rather be than with you on this day making you feel as special as possible. I really want you to know that you are thought of everyday and that you are always in my heart. There are so many things that you have taught me over the years and lessons that I cherish that I know I will teach to my children.

You always taught me to be respectful and always use my manners. "Yes ma'am," "No ma'am," "Yes sir," "No sir," "Please," "Thank You," and the list goes on. But these simple words make such a big impact and taught me respect.

You taught me to never let people decide what I can and cannot do and to always prove them wrong when they say I can't do something. Hence half marathon 1-7 and Tough Mudder.

You taught me to always chase my dreams, even if they are a little crazy and seem like they can't be accomplished. I have really seen this through you with opening up your own gym.

You taught me the importance of humility. No matter the challenges or blessings that I have experienced over the years, you always reminded me to stay humble and grounded.

You taught me to laugh and try to always see the positive and happy part of life even when life isn't going the way I want it to.

You taught me the importance of gratitude and even showing us how important it is to appreciate the things we have. And even showing us how to give back to the community and people around the world.

Most importantly, you taught me to always be myself and never let anybody diminish the light that I have inside of me. You still continue to guide me today and I am so lucky to be to learn from you, you crazy woman. And just know that I will always need you Mom!

I love you Mom and THANK YOU!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there today!

Love, D
