What I Eat In A Day On Keto

Hey y'all! I hope all of you have been having a great weekend. If you have been following along here on Southern Style you have heard me talking a lot about my lifestyle change and being on the Keto Diet. Well today I thought it was finally time to share what a day in the life on the keto diet is like and even what grocery shopping looks like. I have loved the keto lifestyle and it turns out it is not as hard as my stubborn self thought it was going to be.

At the beginning of 2019, I needed to make a change because my health wasn't the greatest and I finally realized that I needed to listen to the people around me and what they were saying. Keto has really changed my life and I am actually holding steady at 25 pounds less than I was at the beginning of the year. I have ultimately loved seeing the results and have been absolutely addicted with it! I have gotten into a rhythm now where I am working out almost every single day and eating a keto based diet.

I know what a lot of you may be thinking, it is a lot easier said than done. Well thats what I thought beforehand. Keto is actually a really easy lifestyle change to make and I am still able to eat a lot of the same foods that I ate beforehand. I had to cut out bread, pasta, and rice, which for me was a huge part of my diet but was also a major problem for me. When I cut those things out in the first week, I lost 5 pounds and that is not a joke! I'm begging you, if you are as stubborn as I am, to just listen and if you are in need of a change like I was, this is not a hard change to make.

Now I do want to say that I am not a keto diet specialist in any way, AT ALL! I am constantly learning and on the same trail of learning as the next person is. But I absolutely love it because I am able to explore new and different recipes and foods and really try new things. I will say this, it is not as hard as people say it is and that is coming from a really stubborn person. As soon as I got into the groove and started learning what I could and could not eat, it has been so easy and like I said above, I have been addicted with the results.

If you are interested in starting on the keto train, yes I said keto train, definitely talk to your doctor(s) and get their opinion and hear what they have to say and if it would be a good thing for you to try out. That's exactly what I did and my doctors have been on this journey the way and it is super comforting. My family has been awesome because they have been along for the journey with me and have encouraged me every step of the way to keep going. Now I am not going to sit here and say that I do not cheat every once in a while and have tacos or rice or a hamburger, but I don't it like that every day now.

I have shared with y'all two of my favorite things to make on the keto diet and I am going to leave them linked down below so you can go and check them out because they are both delicious alternatives to some other foods!

If y'all have any good keto recipes that you would like to share or even diet and lifestyle change stories, please send them in I want to hear y'all's stories and comments about all of this!

As always thank y'all for stopping by and reading and watching! I will see y'all back here next time!

Love, D
